If you like this font, you’ll love my latest called Choose Love—https://crmrkt.com/dGepwK
Beautiful Freak was hand-drawn, making its outlines somewhat irregular and quirky. It has an almost hand-lettered look; the characters jump around the baseline giving it a charming but modern look and feel.
The modern bold sans serif typeface has a host of alternatives and ligatures included. Combine its bold shapes to give your work a more unique, hipster attitude. Easily create professional cool type lockups that look like hand lettering.
All A to Z characters has at least three alternatives. To make your text look less repetitive, you can switch out letters for others—This makes your design look more like hand lettering.
Beautiful Freak has many ligatures, 87 of them in total. You can turn this on via the glyphs panel in Adobe applications. The ligatures make a massive difference in the look of Beautiful Freak. It switches out popular two-letter sequences that make your designs look even more individual.
Please note: The Alternatives and Ligatures use OpenType features. Therefore, you will need a design app to access these options—an application such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign.
If Beautiful Freak were a band, it would be more The Clash than Coldplay—Yeah, it’s like the hugely popular mainstream band that sucks compared to a daring indie band.

The font was created with cardboard cutouts and an ink brayer and then printed on paper, so it’s all handmade.
The details from the lettering print marks are quite staggering. You’ll be hard pushed to find a better hand-printed typeface like it.
It’s bold. It’s far from perfect. It’s full of imperfections and dirty marks—just the way I like it.
Choose Love font has three versions
– SVG Ligatures
If this font were a band, it would be more The Ramones than R.E.M.

Choose Love font—Alternative Glyphs
Choose Love has multiple alternative letters and ligatures—producing unique type designs. Combine them, and you can make wonderful type lockups that look like you have printed them yourself.
Each A to Z letterform has at least three alternatives —The impact of those extra glyphs? First, you can switch out repeating letters to make your design look more random, less repetitious and less like a font—marvellous.
Choose Love font—Ligatures
Choose Love also has ligatures. The ligatures are in their own typeface. You can turn them on via the glyphs panel in Adobe apps or select them via the glyphs panel. The ligatures feature many popular two-letter combinations that make your designs look even more impressive.
The Alternatives and Ligatures use OpenType features. You will need a design application to access these alternatives—an application such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign.
Choose Love font includes;
– Three fonts SVG, Ligature and Standard with full image backups
– Uppercase glyphs only (This font is unicase)
– Basci Punctuation and Symbols
– The standard font has support for Central, Western and South-Eastern European characters
The font format is OTF, and you will need an application with OpenType access to get the full benefit of the typeface.
OpenType SVG Bitmap font
Choose Love uses the new OpenType-SVG Bitmap font format. A traditional vector font has one colour and no transparency. Choose Love has complete transparency and thousands of shades of black and grey. In addition, the OpenType-SVG Bitmaps technology gives the font more detail than the old font format.
OpenType SVG, please read.
OpenType-SVG bitmap is a new technology. Support is limited but improving. OpenType-SVG Bitmaps fonts only work in the latest versions of Photoshop CC2017+ and Illustrator CC 2018+, plus a handful of other native OSX apps. They also work on the more modern versions of windows again only in Photoshop CC2017+ and Illustrator CC 2018+. Windows user, you might not see your letters when you install the font, but it does work in the applications mentioned above. Adobe Indesign does not fully support OpenType-SVG bitmap fonts—so buy this at your own risk. You have been warned.
If your software is too old, I’ve provided high-resolution images, so you can still manually compose letterforms inside Photoshop or your application of choice.

About Simon Stratford
Hello, that’s me or itsmesimon, aka Simon Stratford. I design everything from custom typefaces for advertising agencies to ready to buy fonts for designers (like you) to the occasional digital oil painting for TV and print.
I’ve spent over 20 years in the design industry, from teaching photoshop, web design, movie promotion, and branding agencies to digital marketing—I think I’ve done most jobs. I got tired of the rat race and the daily commute in London. So I stopped doing things I didn’t what to do—and started doing things I did want to do—more creative things.
